Hi friends, 25th of December the birthday of Jesus Christ is the most auspicious day for majority of the people irrespective of their religious faith and I take this opportunity to wish every human being a merry Christmas. Recently I got a chance to view the DVD version of the most popular English movie “2012” and I enjoyed the movie thoroughly. The director of the film Mr. Roland Emmerich deserves all sorts of appreciation for his imaginative work. Though we hear stories and prophesies about end of the world in the year 2012, I never believed them even for a moment for various reasons. Even in the 2012 film, the director tried his level best to make people believe what they have watched; I treat it only as a fiction which is meant for enjoyment. I feel, predicting such a large scale disaster which involves the destruction of entire creation of Lord Almighty is not at all possible for any human being. I hope human race can celebrate Jesus birthday for millions of years and he will guide us to live a harmonious life along with other creatures in the Nature. Kind Jesus will not tolerate such suffering shown in the movie to his children and if you are a real believer be assured that you are protected all the time by Him.

Helping hands for consumers!
Hi friends, we can say the introduction of mobile phone and internet is the beginning of a new era in the field of communication and space barrier between people is almost disappeared. With each passing day more and more people are becoming mobile phone users and in a country like India where people are very enthusiastic about technological changes, carrying a mobile hand set is becoming a fashion. Looking at the increasing demand for hand sets, hand set manufacturers are designing and marketing various models at affordable price ranges to people with different options as per their buying capacities. As there is a stiff competition between mobile manufactures, there is always a price war going on between them and consumers can get benefited with a reliable source of information. ConsumerMate.com

Are you concerned about the disappearing playing ground in schools?
Hi friends, last week end I traveled about 700 kilometers to attend my mother’s death anniversary rituals at Kasaragod (my birth place) and it was not a pleasant journey for me for various reasons. During the entire bus journey I was looking out side the window and observing the various changes taken place in our society. I would like to confine this post to the subject of depleting infrastructure in schools in developing countries like

Take care of your parents. They are precious!
Hi friends, being a blogger I need to post useful contents every now and then to attract visitors to my site and I never miss opportunities to convert information received from any source as a blog post. The following content is a narration by an Indian Air Force pilot Mr.Venkatesh Balasubramaniam in a seminar on Human relations. Here, Venkatesh explains how his gesture of booking an air ticket for his father, his maiden flight, brought forth a rush of emotions and made him realize that how much we all take for granted when it comes to our parents. As soon as I saw this information in my Gmail inbox, I have decided to post it on my website because I am always having a guilty feeling of not treating my parents fairly and when I realized my mistake it was very late. The following narration by a son about his parents feeling should be an eye opener to all those children who think old aged parents are a burden. All credit of this post should go only to Venkatesh who opened his heart without any hesitation in front of a large gathering.
My parents left for our native place on Thursday and we went to the airport to see them off. In fact, my father had never traveled by air before, so I just took this opportunity to make him experience the same. In spite of being asked to book tickets by train, I got them tickets on Jet Airways. The moment I handed over the tickets to him, he was surprised to see that I had booked them by air. The excitement was very apparent on his face, waiting for the time of travel. Just like a school boy, he was preparing himself on that day and we all went to the airport, right from using the trolley for his luggage, the baggage check-in and asking for a window seat and waiting restlessly for the security check-in to happen. He was thoroughly enjoying himself and I, too, was overcome with joy watching him experience all these things.
As they were about to go in for the security check-in, he walked up to me with tears in his eyes and thanked me. He became very emotional and it was not as if I had done something great but the fact that this meant a great deal to him. When he said thanks, I told him there was no need to thank me. But later, thinking about the entire incident, I looked back at my life. As a child, how many dreams our parents have made come true. Without understanding the financial situation, we ask for cricket bats, dresses, toys, outings, etc. Irrespective of their affordability, they have catered to all our needs. Did we ever think about the sacrifices they had to make to accommodate many of our wishes? Did we ever say thanks for all that they have done for us? Same way, today when it comes to our children, we always think that we should put them in a good school. Regardless of the amount of donation, we will ensure that we will have to give the child the best, theme parks, toys, etc. But we tend to forget that our parents have sacrificed a lot for our sake to see us happy, so it is our responsibility to ensure that their dreams are realized and what they failed to see when they were young. It is our responsibility to ensure that they experience all those and their life is complete.
Just because they are old does not mean that they will have to give up everything and keep sacrificing for their grandchildren also. They have wishes, too.
Take care of your parents. THEY ARE PRECIOUS.

Chanakya’s Quotes: Part 2
Hi friends, the remaining quotes of Chanakya are below and I hope we can apply many of these quotes to specific situations which may arise in our day to day life. I feel, only a person like Chanakya with a very strong will power can speak like this which is remembered even after 2000 years. Again I want to thank and link the site “Brainy Quote” from where I have copied these valuable quotes.
He who lives in our mind is near though he may actually be far away; but he who is not in our heart is far though he may really be nearby.
If one has a good disposition, what other virtue is needed? If a man has fame, what is the value of other ornamentation?
It is better to die than to preserve this life by incurring disgrace. The loss of life causes but a moment's grief, but disgrace brings grief every day of one's life.
Never make friends with people who are above or below you in status. Such friendships will never give you any happiness.
O wise man! Give your wealth only to the worthy and never to others. The water of the sea received by the clouds is always sweet.
Once you start a working on something, don't be afraid of failure and don't abandon it. People who work sincerely are the happiest.
One whose knowledge is confined to books and whose wealth is in the possession of others can use neither his knowledge nor wealth when the need for them arises.
Purity of speech, of the mind, of the senses, and of a compassionate heart are needed by one who desires to rise to the divine platform.
Test a servant while in the discharge of his duty, a relative in difficulty, a friend in adversity, and a wife in misfortune.
The earth is supported by the power of truth; it is the power of truth that makes the sun shine and the winds blow; indeed all things rest upon truth.
The fragrance of flowers spreads only in the direction of the wind. But the goodness of a person spreads in all direction.
The happiness and peace attained by those satisfied by the nectar of spiritual tranquility is not attained by greedy persons restlessly moving here and there.
The life of an uneducated man is as useless as the tail of a dog which neither covers its rear end, nor protects it from the bites of insects.
The one excellent thing that can be learned from a lion is that whatever a man intends doing should be done by him with a whole-hearted and strenuous effort.
The serpent, the king, the tiger, the stinging wasp, the small child, the dog owned by other people, and the fool: these seven ought not to be awakened from sleep.
The wise man should restrain his senses like the crane and accomplish his purpose with due knowledge of his place, time and ability.
The world's biggest power is the youth and beauty of a woman.
There is no austerity equal to a balanced mind, and there is no happiness equal to contentment; there is no disease like covetousness, and no virtue like mercy.
There is poison in the fang of the serpent, in the mouth of the fly and in the sting of a scorpion; but the wicked man is saturated with it.
There is some self-interest behind every friendship. There is no friendship without self-interests. This is a bitter truth.
Treat your kid like a darling for the first five years. For the next five years, scold them. By the time they turn sixteen, treat them like a friend. Your grown up children are your best friends.
We should not fret for what is past, nor should we be anxious about the future; men of discernment deal only with the present moment.
Whores don't live in company of poor men, citizens never support a weak company and birds don't build nests on a tree that doesn't bear fruits.

Chanakya’s Quotes: Part 1
Hi friends continuing my post about Chanakya, he was a very religious person and known for his straightforwardness. He was a professor at the then world famous Takshashila University and some of the quotes extracted from his books are very famous in India and I can say those quotes written about 2000 years ago are more relevant to present conditions than ever and you will agree with me after going through some of his famous quotes. I copied them from “Brainy Quote”. Since I felt some of these quotes are very useful in dealing with critical situations, I am publishing them as blog post.
A man is born alone and dies alone; and he experiences the good and bad consequences of his karma alone; and he goes alone to hell or the Supreme abode.
A man is great by deeds, not by birth.
A person should not be too honest. Straight trees are cut first and honest people are screwed first.
As a single withered tree, if set aflame, causes a whole forest to burn, so does a rascal son destroy a whole family.
As long as your body is healthy and under control and death is distant, try to save your soul; when death is immanent what can you do?
As soon as the fear approaches near, attack and destroy it.
Before you start some work, always ask yourself three questions - Why am I doing it, what the results might be and will I be successful. Only when you think deeply and find satisfactory answers to these questions, go ahead.
Books are as useful to a stupid person as a mirror is useful to a blind person.
Do not be very upright in your dealings for you would see by going to the forest that straight trees are cut down while crooked ones are left standing.
Do not reveal what you have thought upon doing, but by wise council keep it secret being determined to carry it into execution.
Education is the best friend. An educated person is respected everywhere. Education beats the beauty and the youth.
Even if a snake is not poisonous, it should pretend to be venomous.
God is not present in idols. Your feelings are your god. The soul is your temple.
He who is overly attached to his family members experiences fear and sorrow, for the root of all grief is attachment. Thus one should discard attachment to be happy.

Prevention is better than cure: Part -5
Hi friends, continuing my discussion on importance of water with respect to preventing occurrence of various types of diseases I would like to share some important health benefits of drinking water on empty stomach. Similar to pranayama (breathing exercise) which may be called as oxygen therapy, drinking water in a scientific and systematic manner is called as water therapy and it has become more popular in
Headache and Body ache |
Blood pressure and Heart system |
Arthritis |
Fast heart beat |
Epilepsy |
Excess fatness |
Bronchitis asthma |
Tuberculosis |
Meningitis |
Kidney and urine diseases |
Vomiting |
Gastritis |
Diarrhoea |
Piles, |
Diabetes, |
Constipation |
All types of eye diseases |
Womb cancer and menstrual disorders |
Ear nose and throat diseases |
The method of this water therapy is very simple and free of any expenditure except dedication and belief in what you are doing. The person who follows water therapy will be free of any pain nuisance.
Routine procedures to be adopted in water therapy
Drink about 600 ml water as soon as you get up from bed before brushing teeth
Don’t consume anything for 45 minutes and you may proceed with brushing during this period.
Take your normal breakfast and drinks after 45 minutes.
After breakfast, lunch and dinner don’t eat or drink anything for about 2 hours.
For aged people, drinking as much as 600 ml water at a stretch may be a Herculean task and such people can acclimatize to this habit by drinking lesser quantity in the initial days. Water therapy can be practiced life long without any side effects; but you need to practice it for a minimum period if you want to see remarkable difference in patient’s condition.
Blood Pressure | 30 days |
Gastric | 10 days |
Diabetes | 30 days |
Constipation | 10 days |
Cancer | 180 days |
Tuberculosis | 90 days |
So friends, Mother Nature has provided us everything to live happily without any diseases and it is left to our wisdom to use them properly and live happily.

Prevention is better than cure: Part -4
Hi friends, as we all know regular intake of water containing enough content of dissolved oxygen will activate our internal organs. I still remember those days when my mother used to boil water and preserve it in an earthen pot and insist us only to drink boiled and cooled water from the pot every now and then. Though my mother was not educated woman, she was having general knowledge about the importance of drinking pure water to remain healthy. In those days in early sixties we have not heard of the so called water therapy but we were partially practicing them under the guidance of our mom. We were taught that by drinking boiled and cooled water we can remain healthy and avoid medicines. I think though it looks very simple, enough water consumption along with proper diet preferably vegetarian may be a solution for many health problems which we are facing today. Breathing pollution free air rich in oxygen and drinking pure water saturated with dissolved oxygen will help our metabolism and strengthen our immune system. I received the following health tips on water intake from my friend and we can prevent many diseases by practicing those tips. Though drinking water is beneficial for our body all the time, one can maximize its effectiveness by drinking at a proper time. Two glasses of water after waking up in the morning helps activate our internal organs. One full glass of water about 30 minutes before meals helps proper digestion. One glass of water before going for bath is good for lowering blood pressure. And last but not the least, a glass of water before going to bed will keep you away from killer diseases like stroke and heart attack. I think we cannot find a cheap and effective detoxifier than water and it is wise to utilize it to a maximum extent.
There are many simple ways through which we can avoid visits to hospitals and save our hard earned money for other useful purposes.
