Hi friends, today while browsing different websites, I got access to a widget “Save the planet” on http://adiwidget.blogspot.com/ and without any second thought I have placed it at the left top my blog. Since, the subject of environment protection is very close to my heart, I always look for opportunities to contribute my share towards greater cause of protection of Mother Nature. In spite of our knowledge about its consequences, we have collectively exploited and enjoyed the abundance of nature through all possible means and our chosen self destruction path has taken us to a position from where it is difficult to return. Mother Nature which was observing the assault by us like a mute spectator for centuries has started reacting and now it is our turn to pay heavily for our misdeeds. As per the

Reasons for economic recession
Hi friends, after suffering for many months, we are slowly coming out from the self created economic mess but the reasons for the occurrence of recession is still a matter of debate. I have gone through many articles available on line about this unprecedented universal phenomenon but my confusion and doubts are still unanswered. I believe our quest for rapid growth is one of the major contributing factors for the recent bad phase in the world economic performance in general and

Selfless service to mother land
Hi friends, the following article is written by me to publish on our newly launched family site Kasaragod kamaths about my father Late Sri. Devadasa Kamath. Though I am not directly involved in this website, I contribute a little through my articles. I feel proud to post it here before publishing it on my family site.
Kasargod is a beautiful place situated on the northern end of
Kasaragod kamaths was a one of the few respected families of GSB community and many of these family members took active role in the freedom struggle and Late Sri. Devadasa Kamath was one among them. Born on 15.07.1919,to Sri. Krishna Kamath and Smt Pandhari Bai, he discontinued his school education after passing 8th standard and started his own business to give financial support to his parents. The period between1930 to 1942 was very important as far as freedom movement in Kasaragod was concerned and under the leadership and guidance of Moodubidire Umesh Rao, many youngsters participated in each and every activity which was aimed to release
land received from the Government to Acharya Vinobha Bave’s social cause Sarvodaya. Even he was reluctant to receive monthly pension meant for political sufferers for about 5 years and only when he faced financial problem because of ill health he opted for it.
He was a staunch follower of Mahatma and never stopped using khadi cloths till his last breath. His belief on his favorite deities Lord Venkateshwara and Ganesha was his main strength and his STRONG WILL POWER helped him to pass many difficult hurdles of life. He was running a groceries shop at Badiyadka for many years but since he was not ready to compromise on his values he never succeeded in his business. He served in M/s K V N Shenoy and company, a private firm for few years after winding up his business. His wife Smt. Sathyabhama Bai was from a near by place Nilleshwar and he was having four sons. The greatest tragedy of his life was his eldest son Sathish Kamth’s death at a very young age. Other sons are Trivikram a bank employee, Panduranga an employee of Aditya Birla Group and Damodar, working in a finance company. After living a purposeful life, Devadas Kamath left this world on 08.03.1991. On 12.12.2001, his wife Satyabhama also followed him.

Feelings of reaching another mile stone.......
Hi friends, much water has flown down the River Tungabhadra( one of the major rivers of my beloved country) since I have started my blog and published the first blog post on Sunday, July 27, 2008 with the active support of my mentor Malthy Badri. Today, when I saw Google page rank of my site jumped from 1 to 3, I became very happy and I have taken a resolution to devote more time for my blog and post regularly. As my blog is not having any affiliate programs or adsense, a better page rank does not make any difference to me or my site, even then I feel proud to have page rank 3. When my site got page rank-1, my mentors Badri encouraged me by congratulating and I hope to receive a mail this time also. I believe, getting page rank 3 is definitely a mile stone for a blogger and it needs a celebration for crossing it easily.

Misuse of credit card- an economic blunder?
Hi friends, continuing my earlier discussion about the economic blunders which made millions of our fellow human beings income less and home less, to day I would like to high light the role of credit cards in spoiling the game. I feel, massive misuse of credit card for purchasing products and services well beyond our capacity has contributed its share in weakening the economy especially in countries like

Feeling happy about economic recovery?
Hi friends, here is a good news for all of us. According to Federal Reserve Chairman Mr. Ben Bernanke economic turbulence has already calmed down and healthy economic activities are stepping up but in a slow phase. Now the time has come to look back at our past blunders which have pushed the whole world to the brink of economic disaster. I hope the end of recession may bring big smile on the innocent faces of our bothers and sisters all over the world (like in the pencil sketch drawn by my son). Though I am bad at economics, I have listed down many points (I feel they are blunders) which are responsible for this bad economic phase and I firmly believe if we start repeating those economic blunders, it may lead to more severe world economic crisis from where it may be difficult for us to come back. As I have mentioned in my earlier post “remembering my mom and her proverbs” the mighty

Don't quit till you reach the goal
Hi friends, I would like to share this very old poem which I have received from my favorite person. I don’t know who wrote this poem, but I am really grateful to the writer for writing such an inspiring poem.
When things go wrong as they sometimes will
When the Road you are trudging seems all up hill;
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile when you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must — but don’t quit.
Life is queer with twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck out,
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow,
You might succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor’s cup
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the Golden Crown.
Success is failure, turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubts;
And you can never tell how close you are,
It may be nearer when it seems afar,
So stick to the fight, when you are hardest hit,
When things seem worst that you mustn’t quit.

Lord Ganesha... I felt your presence!
Hi friends, I would like to share my following experience with you. Auspicious Ganesha Chaturthi, the birthday of Lord Ganesha is celebrated all over the world in different ways and in our family too at my native place Kasaragod we worship our family deity through all religious rituals. Our family priest who is conversant with all rituals, by chanting Sanskrit verses invokes Lord’s divine energy in to the beautiful clay idol decorated with various flowers and costly ornaments. Since many years I am observing a drastic change in the eyes of the idol as soon as the priest completes the chanting of those mantras or Sanskrit verses which are meant for Pranapratishhtha or giving life to the idol. With the completion of mantras, the eyes of the idol become lively. In the night, the priest ends the rituals by chanting “visargena mantra” praying lord Ganesha to come out from the idol and return to his world. With the completion of these religious chants the liveliness in the eyes of idol disappears immediately. I am closely watching this miracle every year and with every passing year my belief on the existence of God has become more intact. I have captured this photo on 23.08.2009.

How to remain young for ever?
HGH Releasers
Human Growth Hormone supplements are available in many forms. This includes the HGH releasers which are one form of Human Growth Hormone supplements and they stimulate the human body into producing more HGH.
Why to take HGH?
The important reason for taking HGH releasers is their anti-aging property that rejuvenates. HGH is often seen as a quick route that takes you back to the days of youth when the HGH levels in your body were high. This means higher energy levels, better skin and hair, greater libido, and many other aspects. HGH releasers are quite more economical than prescription HGH injections. These releasers essential provide the body with the 191 amino acids that eventually make the hormone. These are mostly the L-Group amino acids.
It should be noted these are raw materials that need to be converted into HGH through the internal chemical processes of the body. The trick is that when they are administered it stimulates the pituitary gland into releasing more HGH into the body.
Natural Stimulation
In this way the body's natural production of HGH gets ramped. The HGH releasers act as signals to the pituitary gland located behind the brain to start producing more of this wonderful hormone. The result is that the metabolic rate shoots up causing weight loss, improved lean muscle mass, decrease or vanishing of wrinkles and improvement in skin tone, stronger bones, faster rate of recovery from injury and illness.
Sytropin
Sytropin is a blend of homeopathic HGH, growth factors, and potent amino acid releasers that are used to stimulate the body's production of HGH. The ingredients of Sytropin are carefully selected for maximum effectiveness through small doses. Sytropin is manufactured using the highest quality raw materials. All of these ingredients are fully compliant with the FDA GRAS requirements and have no known side effects or complications.
Sytropin comes with a 90-day guarantee. Every order comes with a risk-free full refund guarantee if you are not satisfied with the results within 90 days. This is a good deal because HGH supplements take around 60 days to show optimum results.

Is economy rolling back to mormalcy?
Hi friends, the turbulence in the global economy has created up and downs in most of our life including mine. Due to my personal worries associated with this global phenomenon, I kept my self away from all social activities including blogging. Now, this is the time for me to return to social life, since the derailed economy is showing signs of rolling back to its original track. As far as the present world economy is concerned, some experts argue that it may take as many as ten years to see a complete recovery and emphasize their point by giving example of economic disaster of world war -2 era in which people suffered for more then ten years. But, I am not in agreement with this view for the simple reason that the present generation is more determined than our earlier generations and they are leaving no stones unturned as far as bringing normalcy in world economy is concerned. I hope to see a rejuvenated world economy under the leadership of Barack Obama to put an end to the miseries of our people. Signs of improvements are already appearing with each passing days and I think it is the moral responsibility of all people of the world to make some extra effort to achieve the final goal.

Remembering my mom and her proverb.........
Hi Friends, I was born and brought up in a small town in southern part of India. I firmly believe that mother is the first teacher in a school called home. In India our journey of learning starts from our beloved home where the teacher is none other than our mom who expects only love from her children. She teaches her children how to lead a happy life by setting herself as an example. She manages the show in all aspects of life by proactive measures like planning, far sighted approach, spent control, creating a secret emergency fund apart from regular saving, keeping a regular watch on the activities of her children in spite of her busy schedule and many more. I remember my mom (who is no more now) who used to advise us by quoting proverbs whenever we do mistakes. One such important proverb she used to quote whenever our family members found spending lavishly which is in Kannada language "hasige iddastu kaalu chaachu" means don't stretch legs beyond your bed. She was against to credit culture and never allowed my dad to take credit unless is was unavoidable. Whenever I read the stories of the Americans who are struggling to come out from the vicious circle of debt trap which is the out come of credit card culture,I remember my mom and her proverbs.I am an admirer of America and its great people for my own reasons and hope to see them again as a super power in all fronts.I hope my American friends learn from their mistakes and go forward with preventive and corrective measures to achieve a sustainable economy along with rest of the world as a big but caring brother.Posted by pdkamath at 1:35 PM 0 comments

How to live stress free life
Hi friends , few days back I received this story via email and I thought it is better to publish it in my blog . When I read it I just remembered Dr.Stephen Covey’s 90/10. So let us try to adopt it in our daily life so that we can make it more beautiful and meaning full. Read now....
One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his breaks, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly. So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!'
This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.' He explained that many people are like garbage trucks.
They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally.
Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.
The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so... 'Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't.' Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!

Goji: Magic berry
Hi friends, Happy New year and hope the coming days may bring health and wealth to all of us. In our Hindu culture every spiritual ritual ends with a prayer in which we pray for ourself, family, society and so on and finally for the whole mankind. The sanskrit prayer is like this - "sarve jana sukhino bhavantu", meaning of which is may all people of the world live happily. I hope good sense prevail on all of us and unitedly we strive to protect our beautiful world from environmental and cultural disasters which shall result in a sustainable economy.
If nature is the supreme power which is responsible for the origin of all activities in the Universe, then it has provided us every thing to lead a healthy life.Nature has provided us with enormous verities of herbs through which we can make our life healthier and beautiful. Goji berry which is naturally gown in the hilly regions of Himalaya and China is a gift of nature to us which is a very rich source of all types of vitamins, nutrients, minerals, amino acid. We can blend goji with our regular foods like salad, fruit juice, soup or in any form since it is sweet in taste and delicious. If we take it on regular basis its benefits on our health are multi fold. Some of the important health benefits of goji berry are it nourishes blood, acts as a kidney & liver tonic, improve vision even at older age, enhance libido, calm our nervous system, give better physical endurance and supports longevity. If goji is taken daily, it will boost our immune system. Due to all these aspects goji has acquired an important place in the Chinese traditional medicine system. As per the recent study on this magic herb, it can even cure particular varieties of cancer.
Due to our modern life style and hectic activities which generates enormous amount of stress in our system, we are prone to different types of diseases and some of these diseases cannot be cured permanently from any medicines and there are many wise ways is to prevent them from occurring and use of goji berry is one of them.
